charlane-cameoCharlane came to Europe in 1988 on diplomatic assignment to the Jamaican Embassy in Brussels. Shortly after her arrival she became an active member of Aglow in 1988 and served on the Brussels English Aglow Board from 1991 to 1993. Following various re-assignments to several countries, Charlane resigned from the Jamaican Foreign Service in 2001 to focus on her young family and to answer the call to join God’s Foreign Service full-time. Being an Ambassador for Christ and enlarging His territory in the earth are two of her greatest passions.

On her return to Belgium in 2002, Charlane devoted her time to the family, and later became actively involved with Belgium French Speaking Aglow as intercessor and speaker in various local chapters. In 2007, God shifted her assignment back to Brussels English Aglow where she was appointed President and has held that position until 2015.

Besides speaking engagements in various Christian circles in Europe over the past twelve years, she spends much of her time in prayer and intercession for Belgium and Europe. Charlane loves to exhort and encourage women to find their identity in Christ and come to total wholeness in Him. She is known as a WWWW.WOW (Woman of Word Wit Wisdom) person, with a God of No Limits.

God had been speaking to Charlane about His heart for Europe and the expansion of His Kingdom in that Continent, when the new director, Carolyn Jones, asked her to become Assistant Director. This new assignment, Charlane believes, represents a shift; a stretching and expansion in her, in preparation for the shift, the breaking forth and expansion of God’s Kingdom in Europe and beyond. She brings to European English Aglow, her wealth of experience, wit and wisdom as a Christian woman, leader, prayer warrior and intercessor for over 33 years.

Charlane is married to Raphaël Maryns, a Belgian national. They currently reside in Belgium with their four children. One of her heart’s cry is to see the younger generation transformed for Jesus Christ – and so she is not only a mother of her four natural children but to many other young people in her sphere of influence.

A member of the Vineyard Church in Brussels, she leads one of the Prayer & Intercession Teams.
